I am Julianna Humecke. I am graduating from Michigan Technological University (MTU) with a BA in Scientific and Technical Communications (STC) and minor in German International. What I really appreciate about STC is the variety of creative skill sets it allows students to learn. For me this involves applications to marketing and media production. I have enjoyed learning skills like effective writing, graphic design, and learning media software. I am most productive in open and expressive environment where people can help each other to strive for new goals.

During my time at MTU I became involved in many things to help expand and grow my skill set. I joined the STC Student Chapter and eventually became the secretary and then president. I joined Habitat for Humanity, becoming the secretary for two years. I was involved with HIDE Enterprise and CinOptic Enterprise. Outside of school I enjoy playing the piano and cooking.  These are both fun ways to challenge me to try new things. I also enjoy hiking and photography- it's a great way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors.

After graduating I will be working with JT Engineering Consulting as a marketing coordinator in Oregon, Wisconsin. I look forward to living in a new area and meeting new people that will continue to help me grow as a person.
