Media Productions

"Bigger Than Myself"
Documentary- 2019
"Bigger Than Myself" is a documentary created in a Documentary class by me and a student group. This process involved all preproduction, production, and post production elements. The purpose of this project was to be able to tell the story of someone on MTU's campus and have it create value to a general audience.

Dr. Hersch-Green- "LiCor 6800"
CinOtpic Enterprise 2022
This film was created for Biologist Dr. Hersch-Green as part of my work for CinOptic enterprise. This is part of a video series covering her research that will be displayed on her website. The filming for this project began in Spring 2021 and was completed this January using Canon 80D's and EOSR1. After that editing began. I kept in close contact with Dr. Hersch-Green to ensure these videos included all necessary information.
CinOptic Expo Video
CinOtpic Enterprise 2022
This video was created for the 2022 Enterprise Expo. I worked with Enterprise team lead Matthew on filming the enterprise and the interviews. I was also in charge of post production. The goal of this video was to share information about CinOptic and its partnership with Isle Royale National Park to create their "Stay Wild" Campaign. B-roll of the enterprise, and from our excursion to the island was used.

Unique Garden Stones Marketing Plan
Principles of Marketing- 2019
This project for my Principles of Marketing class was to demonstrate the students true understanding of developing a market plan. Using concepts such as target markets, position strategy, and Marketing mix strategy, I and my group were able to make a Market Plan for the family owned business Unique Garden Stones.
Vehicle Loads Marketing Survey
Keweenaw Research Center- 2020
This marketing survey was completed while I was a Communications Intern for the Keweenaw Research Center (KRC). This marketing survey was to help evaluate the vehicle systems and software used by the KRC's customers in order to learn how to improve which systems in which ways. This survey involved multiple steps including finding and contacting company representatives, building the website and survey, and recording the responses and their conclusive answers. I worked on this project independently under the instruction of my supervisor.

Grammar Poster
Grammar and Society- 2020
This poster was created to clarify a grammatical concept that English users might struggle with. Using relative visuals and parallel explanations and examples explain and visualize the differences between "were", "we're", and "where" which many English users struggle to differ.
Blue Finn Logo Challenge
Graphic Design- 2019
This logo was created on the prompt name "Blue Finn Fishing Charters". Students in the class were given a fake name and background for a company looking for a logo. We each designed logos that could be used on merchandise materials and had guests come into the class to vote for the best logo.
CinOptic Expo Poster
CinOptic- 2022
This poster was created to aid the CinOptic Expo video. Information includes a background of CinOptic Enterprise and details about the Isle Royale "Stay Wild" Campaign. The Design was composed by myself, advisor Dr. Smith, and team member Emma. Working together, we were able to create a highly informative, visual, and readable poster to captivate all the information necessary.

MTU Study Abroad Website Redesign Proposal
Professional Development- 2020
The study Abroad Website redesign was a project in my professional development class meant to give us "real world experience". I was paired with the study abroad department to help redesign their website to make information easy to find for students. I created a hierarchy of information and using Crazy-Egg analytics determined the best location and layout for information to be placed.
Copper Country Historic Images
Usability Testing and Experience- 2021
This project involved me and a group of students conducting usability testing on a local website. This involved creating a test plan, gathering participants and hosting them in the test, and creating conclusions and recommendations for the website.

Changes in Idiom Meanings and Tools for Second Language Learners
Language and Society- 2019
This paper was written for research in the class about how idiom definitions can change not only over the course of one's learning, but over the course of time as the culture develops. The usefulness of this paper in personally seen by me as a communications major and a second language learner.
Asian Carps' Impact of the Great Lakes
Appreciating the Great Lakes- 2020
This paper was written to asses my knowledge about a invasive species of my choice and the ways they are impacting the Great Lakes. This paper involved using research about the several species of Asian carp, the positive and negative ways they have been impacting the great lakes, and solutions for the negative effects they are having.
Sustainability Comparison between Adidas and Under Armour
Green Business: European Sustainable Entrepreneurship- 2021
This paper was written to asses my comprehension of sustainable business goals as well as business models. Extensive research went into understanding each companies environmental policies and business canvases. This information was used to determine which company was more sustainable and why they chose this course.
