An important part of my education- and life experience- has been my German minor and what I have been able to do with it. Learning a culture and a language is an incredible eye opening experience. Even in German classes in the the U.S. it was fascinating to learn about a different way of life. However an experience far more valuable was going abroad and studying for a semester at Freie Universität in Berlin. While abroad I learned and experienced so many new things. It provided a great opportunity to apply cultural and historical lessons from class, and a wonderful opportunity to practice speaking German.
